Lori's Notes: I'm excited to announce that I will now be
contributing regularly over at The Barn Door. My first post appears
today, May 23rd. I invite you to check out "On a Day in June" at
The Barn Door. I hope it'll add a bit of pleasantness
to your day.
The poem above is a cinquain. My friend, the Prude posted one the
other day on her blog and invited responders to write one, also.
After writing a cinquain there, I kept going and wrote the one
above, too.
According to Drury's The Poetry Dictionary, a cinquain is a poetic
form with a syllabic arrangement of 2-4-6-8-2 in its five lines.

It is great that you are at The Barn Door. And what a great entry for them!
Thank you, Sue. I’m excited about the regular gig.
Fun cinquain. The Barn Door is blessed to have you!
You’ve got me started on this whole cinquain phase. Maybe I’ll eventually have enough for a chapbook. I wrote another one this afternoon.
Yet another reason to visit The Barn Door! Congrats and see you there (and here)!
Thank you, friend. It’s always a treat to hear from you.
Love it, Lori, and congratulations!
Thanks for dropping by, Lauren. Good to hear from you.
Perfect poem for your debut at The Barn Door. Congratulations, Lori! Looking forward to more of your poetry!
