The Female

The Female

Demure she sits
light on the branch
poised with confidence

Drab in olive dress she rests
with orange beak
with miniature crest

Demure she perches
waits for him
to approach in brilliant red

    • Good of you to stop by, Sandy. You were the one to introduce me to the word, poetography. I think it was last April during National Poetry Month. Thank you for your kind words.

  1. Beautiful. I am currently appreciating the bluebirds I see at the dog park.
