For The Commuters

For the Commuters

Bedecked with pink geraniums
her third-story terrace
overlooks the
busy city street—

Of the building’s
twenty balconies
only hers
returns a view

  1. So beautiful! What a thoughtful person to place that beauty there for all to see.

      • Oh, you’re in for a treat, for sure! We grow it everywhere around here. I planted all 3 yesterday, but my yellow ones don’t look so good. I don’t always plant what I buy immediately, but I should.

    • I thought my thumbs were getting a bit greener, but then came this season…what a failure I am so far. I’m trying to appreciate the flowers of others and ignore the guilt that tries to creep in. Thanks for you kind words. 🙂

    • Thanks, Jacquie! I hope to see more pics from South Africa soon from you. I love your shots…especially the glimpses from everyday life on the other side of the world. Hugs!! -Lori

  2. What a clever thought and so beautiful. “…only hers returns a view.” I love this poem Lori. It says so much in so few words.
